No not all flower's are edible, they have to be grown especially to eat and just because they are edible doesn't always mean they taste good.
I have edible roses on my wedding cake so ask your local florist they should be able to tell you where to get them.

I would get them at a gourmet market of some sort... if you get them there, they will not be sprayed with pesticides...
If you buy them at a regular grocery store...they may have been sprayed with something you dont know about.

i just installed a new near driver side brake caliper (the last one froze) new pads and a new rotor, i bleed the brakes, and there was no leaks, but the pedal still goes down very low

Reply:You probably have not bled ALL the air out of the system. Even the tiniest air bubble anywhere in the system will compress when you activate the brakes making the pedal spongy. If you didn't keep up refilling the master cylinder as you bled it, it could have forced more air into the lines from the reservoir.
If that's not it, it's probably your master cylinder, but I doubt it if it worked okay until your caliper frose.
Bleed it again.
If you don't already have something, you might consider getting some better equipment to do it with. A simple hand operated vacuum pump would do wonders. Kits are available at most auto parts stores, sometimes Walmart, and usually Sears. They allow you to diagnose vacuum devices, bleed brakes, and diagnose various systems, and include basic diagnostic procedures. When bleeding brakes you can either use it to pull brake fluid through a caliper, or you could reverse it and force fluid back through the caliper. It sure beats using the brake pedal, because it moves a much greater volume of fluid with each stroke.

then when pedal goes to floor, close valve and then and only then raise pedal.
repeat until you HAVE full pedal.
always start from the longest brake line to the shortest.
RR, LR, RF, LF. (depends on front to rear line routing)
if ABS, THIS the ordering, can be different. FIND OUT!
do not let air get ahead of any ABS valve modulator your
you will need expert help.
You need a manual.
There can be other issues.
PS: you can get much better help by joining a forum just for you car. Then they would not have guess about every thing.

Reply:I hope you had another person to help you bleed the brakes, it takes two unless you have the tool to automatically refill the master cylinder. Also did you adjust the ear brakes, the self adjusters to me are just a joke and then again you may have to replace the rear shoes also.

it's a 1992 jeep chrokee with a strait-six 4.0 liter it starts fine idles ok turns off without running over can't figure this one out

It will send out a strobe looking light and you can see where the timing is at. A manual will show you how to use one. I don't think they are too expensive. The only remaining possibility I can think of is something is messed up with your distributor. That's what controls which spark plug fires when according to the position of your cam inside the engine block itself. If this is off at all it can make a difference.

It sounds like its and ignition thing, IGNITION TIMING! If the low votage wires are broken it will cause the surge and the backfire! Start the engine ang move the wires around with somthing that you wont get a shok with! If the engine stalls, surges, or back fires you found your problem! If you are haveing a problem with the HI Voltage side of the ignition you might y try looking at the engine at night wile its running and see if you see any sparking! This may sound crazy to you but you may find the problem without spending lots of your cash! Good luck!

This is a recipe that comes from the Yukon Territory, but rosehips grow anywhere roses grow. You will lose a lot of the beneficial vitmin C when you boil this, but you still get the wonderful taste of the rosehips! Adapted from FoodService Recipes. What a great gift this would make!
8 cups rose hips
water
7 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon margarine or butter
1 (3 3/8 ounce) envelope liquid pectin (Certo)
Remove the blossom remnant from the rose hips.
Bring the rose hips and enough water to cover them to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Crush the rose hips or chop in a food processor.
Strain the juice in a cheesecloth-lined sieve.
Add any additional water if need to bring the juice up to 4 cups.
Bring the juice and sugar to a boil.
Add the margarine, then the liquid pectin.
Bring back to a boil, stirring constantly; boil hard for 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Skim foam from surface.
Pour into sterile pint jars and seal.
Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
There are lots of different rose jelly recipes out there...I would say pick some and try them....

You pick off all the petals, try to pick only the very best petals off the rose....Then put them in a zip lock plastic bag....take them to your bedroom....and sprinkle the petals on top of your bed....Then you and I lay on top of them....making hot passionate love....I am sure after we are done...there will be alot of Rose Jelly on your bed....XXOO
Reply:I was a chef and we made it quite often, make sure the roses you use have not be sprayed with pesticides, it is a simple recipe, I make it like tea, I mkae up my sugar syrup and steep the rose petals in it over night then reboil it and then add my pectin powder or liquid, if you use rose water or syrup it is a one step thing, just the syrup the flavour and then the pectin.
It all depends on how much you want to make, a recipe is only good if you have the petals or the flavours to start, it is a simple as making straberry or peach jam without the mess, a touch of lemon juice is nice the brighten up the flavour.

Daisy Girl Scout Smock Petal- Can I remove them?
Is there a way to remove a daisy iron-on petal (Daisy girl scouts) without harming the smock? I placed my daughters first 3 on and I realized that I spaced them too far apart!! HELP!!

I hated those things! Sorry but no, you can't you will rip it, just do your best with the others ones-she only wears it for a year or so. Really, you should see some of them-HORRIBLE!

Reply:Turn the tunic over and iron behind the petal. This will release it if you gently pull while it's still hot. I've had to do this before. Unfortunately, depending on the color petal that you're looking to remove it will leave a little bit of color residue.
If you are trying to just move one because you need room to evenly space the petals, this should work out fine. You could always just kind of "smoosh" one in between the two instead.
If you're trying to remove all of the petals so you can re-use the tunic, this might not be the best idea...just go for a new tunic. There are sew-together kits that are cheap and easy to assemble.
FYI, always sew a stitch or two into the iron-on patches...some like to fall off and the daisy petals are now sold as a full set and hard to replace just one without buying a whole new set.

It looks like the flower petal are appliqued on, but they're a fairly simple shape so it shouldn't be too difficult. The stems appear to be embroidered, and they're also nice simple straight lines. If you really want the exact shapes, print the blown up picture and then enlarge it further on a copy machine until it's the size you want.
It's an adorable quilt - I'm sure your version will be beautiful.

Rose Petal Ice Cream?
I recently tried rose petal ice cream and it was exquisite! I have an ice cream maker at home and wanted to know how to make the ice cream. Do you actually add real rose petals? When would you add them? How do you add them? The ice cream did have some pieces of rose petals, a slight floral fragrance and subtle taste. If you are familiar with ice cream making and have made rose petal ice cream before, I would greatly appreciate any tips or advice.

I am a former chef and have made it and had it in Singapore and in Paris also, if you use rose petals, make sure to get ones not sprayed with pestiside, some places have dried ones, tried a health food store, the rose syrup or rose water is from Indian stores or a Mexican shops.
With the rose petals dry them and crumble them into the custard base (I use condensed milk and a bit of light cream for richness), a bit of rosewater or syrup is a good additive, then process in the ice maker.
When you make the base, it should be a bit sweeter, keep some for after or to sprinkle on top, even a place that sells cake decorating supplies might have candied or crytalized rose petals.

I would rather be a tear in child's eye because the tear serves as a cleansing process of my child's emotion outburst. It serves as a way to relieve his excess baggage of loneliness, heartache's or pain or suffering in life. I see it as a way for my child to unload the burden of problems that needs to be uncarried.
The final petal of a dying flower serves no purpose for me for it will soon detach and leave nothing but an end of life. I couldn't see any momentum that will make it bloom as the same flower for there is no more flower to speak. It would be another chapter or story to know behind it's death.

I don't think it makes a difference. the radius of the wheel has not been changed, the peddling is still the same based on road conditions and terrain. It's is the preferred lighting method for cyclists/or pros/amateurs. They certainly don't want anything to slow them down.

The best answer is that the motors, lights, and electrical conversion have gotten much more proficient. New halogen light bulbs do not require as much energy to light. ive seen my guinea pig scratching at a bald patch on her back. We've treated her with pest shampoo aswell as her two companions (i have seen no patches on them). what can i do to help her?

The first sign of ringworm is a bald patch around their head and neck, its very itchy, sometimes they will scratch till they bleed, I know my guinea pig did. You need to seperate her from the other guinea pigs, as ringworm is very contagious, although they may not show signs of having it just yet, Spiek didn;t show signs of having it until about a week after we noticed it on Slush. Minimise handling and thoroughly wash your hands after handling as humans can get it too. Take her too a vet, they will give her an anti-fungal cream, which should clear it up. If anyone in your family notices anything diffferent about their skin or anything like that, then get them to a doctor or go out an buy an anti-fingal cream before it progresses :)
Good luck, its not life threatening as long as it is treated quickly :)
And don;t try to use any products made for humans on her, because they are often too strong and may make matters worse.

As you can imagine, it is quite painful and irritating. Guinea pigs will scratch themselves to try to get relief, and often end up cutting themselves in the process.
Good news is that mites are very easy to treat. Check out the link below on mites and medication called Ivermectin. I'm not sure what kind of "pest shampoo" you are using, but many of them are toxic and not meant for small animals like guinea pigs.

Recommendations, please, for something as good as "The Crimson Petal and the White" by Michel Faber!
I'm currently re-reading it for the third time in two years, it is one of those books that is so damn good you just don't want it to end!
And I'm completely uninspired as to what to read next - I've already read everything he has written (again some of it twice or three times over) but I really need some recommendations as to an author who can excite me as much as he does.
I do tend to go for books with a historical setting but by no means exclusively - so any ideas will be very welcome!
Oh, and if anyone has any inside info as to when the film of TCPATW will eventually be released. or where it's up to, I'd be eager to hear it!! All I've managed to find out from IMDB is that it is "in development".

Has anyone else made rose petal beads?
I've got a decent recipe and the clay like consistency and color seem right. But when I dry them, they come out like petrified raisins, no matter what shape I mold them into to start with. Any suggestions?

Wow, finally, someone else has tried this (I asked a question about this a while back, and the answers were somewhat satisfying). Most of mine are on the wrinkly side, although I did have one batch that was very raisiny--it was the batch I made where I didn't tear up the petals very small. The recipe I had recommended using a blender (which I didn't have, hence the tearing up). For the next batch I used an old coffee grinder, and while they're on the bumpy side, they're significantly better-I'm pretty sure I could sand them smooth if I had to.
As for the color--assuming you're boiling your petals, it's probably the heat. If they get too hot, they do tend to lose their color a bit, and according to the recipe I have, pretty much any color but red ends up a nasty brown. I have a tendency to overcook mine a bit, but they still have this nice dark, dark, purpley color.

you need to adjust the brake light switch on it,sometimes they will slip ,and that's what has happened to yours ,if you try that and it wont stay off,id just replace it,their cheap to buy and easy to replace,good luck on it.

Your brake pedal should return to its fully up position whenever you remove your foot. If you have to pull the pedal up then something is definately not right.
The brake light is operated by a microswitch near the top of the pedal assembly and it needs the pedal to be fully released before it switches off. This is a safety feature designed to give following vehicles warning whenever the brakes are applied - even if it's only the teensiest bit.
Check that nothing is obstructing the pedal's return, such as carpet or trim. Ensure that the return spring is securely attached and that the bearings are free. A spot of WD40 or 3in1 oil should help. If you can get it in then apply some light grease. Do the accellerator and clutch while you're under there.
While you're under the dashboard have a look and see if anything in or around the pedal brackets is bent. This sometimes happens, even though it shouldn't.
In the last resort you will have a sticky microswitch. These cannot be repaired but replacements aren't expensive and it should be self-evident how it's fitted.
Reply:This is not the switch (not all switches are under the pedal anyway). The fact that you have to lift the pedal up with your foot should give you a clue - the pedal is not coming up all the way.
Three possibilities -
It just needs a bit of oil.
The return spring is weak.
The pivot is worn.
OK, four possibitities:
The master cylinder or push-rod is sticking.
Check them out in that order.
Reply:If the brake light is staying on constantly and ONLY goes off when pulling the pedal up with your foot...the first place I would start is at the brake pedal switch....which is located under the dash and attached to the to the brake pedal assembly...it sounds like the switch is adjusted too far out and is being activated by the weight of the pedal assembly.....slowly adjust away from the pedal until the light goes off...***CAUTION***......if the switch is adjusted too far away...you could lose your brake lights entirely....be careful.
Reply:There is a small switch either on the brake pedal or on the body of the car under the brake pedal (depending on make and model) that is pressed when you press the pedal. This switch causes the brake light to come on.
Your switch either needs moving slightly or greasing up so that it is not operating when the brake pedal is in its normal (not being operated) position.
Reply:Try a drop of oil on the mechanism at the top of the pedal lever. You might have to unhook the carpet to get at it.

While you're under the dashboard have a look and see if anything in or around the pedal brackets is bent. This sometimes happens, even though it shouldn't.
In the last resort you will have a sticky microswitch. These cannot be repaired but replacements aren't expensive and it should be self-evident how it's fitted.
Reply:This is not the switch (not all switches are under the pedal anyway). The fact that you have to lift the pedal up with your foot should give you a clue - the pedal is not coming up all the way.
Three possibilities -
It just needs a bit of oil.
The return spring is weak.
The pivot is worn.
OK, four possibitities:
The master cylinder or push-rod is sticking.
Check them out in that order.
Reply:If the brake light is staying on constantly and ONLY goes off when pulling the pedal up with your foot...the first place I would start is at the brake pedal switch....which is located under the dash and attached to the to the brake pedal assembly...it sounds like the switch is adjusted too far out and is being activated by the weight of the pedal assembly.....slowly adjust away from the pedal until the light goes off...***CAUTION***......if the switch is adjusted too far away...you could lose your brake lights entirely....be careful.
Reply:There is a small switch either on the brake pedal or on the body of the car under the brake pedal (depending on make and model) that is pressed when you press the pedal. This switch causes the brake light to come on.
Your switch either needs moving slightly or greasing up so that it is not operating when the brake pedal is in its normal (not being operated) position.
Reply:Try a drop of oil on the mechanism at the top of the pedal lever. You might have to unhook the carpet to get at it.

Reply:this sounds like a faulty peddle switch , and are very easy to change.
Reply:adjust your brake pedal to the specified clearance, or til the light don't come on unless the pedal is pushed.

Sounds like it is possibly flooding. The air filter would not make a difference.

1st off, without proper diagnostics you cannot get a proper repair...with that being said...
2nd, it could be a power booster, a bad master cylinder, or something wrong with the abs system.
Best bet is to take it to a trusted technician/shop and have them do the proper diagnostics to give you a proper repair.

Reply:Its quite possible you have air in the lines.Have someone bleed your brakes and if this doesn't solve the problem,look for leaks around the brake assys.If you find no leaks,then your master cylinder is most likely bad.

Fake silk plants bought at the craft area of wal mart for a dollar will float, and because there isn't as much plastic on them as most fake plants they are less likely to harm tails.

Yes...but it may take a while. Once my two-year -old had a ladybug in her ear for a couple of weeks. When it happened I thought she was just being imaginative (Bad, bad Mommy) The ladybug was barely recognizable by the time an infection kicked in. See a doctor, the sooner the better.
