Problem starting with a 2002 Saturn SL2 sedan, i have to have my foot way down on the petal to get it to start

Since it is a newer car that is fuel injected, i am guessing it is maybe a fuel filter or some kind of cold start sensor. I don't try the car but i the driver, my wife said that it cuts out some times. I don't know if any one knows much about this car or had a similar problem but any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Brad

Fuel injected cars with plugged fuel filters will only run at about half throttle and die at idle. It`s the fuel filter.
Reply:Have you kept up with the maintenance? If not, begin there. If you have done the plugs, air filter, fuel filter, plug wires, O2 sensor, and not used cheap gas, then take it in for a scan of the computer system.
Reply:Take it in and get it fixed. It will only get worse. The fuel injected Saturn is not supposed to have the accelerator touched until after it starts. I own a 99 SL myself.
