Can some indoor electrical lights bought from bangkok be used in the UK?

I bought some indoor flower petal lights from Bangkok. Will I need a step-down transformer before i plug them into the mains etc, or can I just use the two to three pin plug adaptor and plu them in. Thailand is 220v, Uk 240V. Is this safe

You're fine. I assume both are designed for 50Hz, but a light filament shouldn't care too much. If you actually measure the voltage at your outlet in Bangkok or the UK, It won't be exactly either voltage. At 240, your light output will be less lumens than at 220, but you won't notice. Good luck.
Reply:20v is not a issue for electrical stuff it is safe dont be affraid. Ur 240v actuallly fluctuate a little sometimes. For electronics it might be different you might break a device but certainly not dangerous.
