well for one thing your break pedal may have a short somewhere around or in it.....as for finding out why you should try and find a store of some sort that could look into what went wrong...or what is going on...it could be a few different things...such as frayed or faulty wires, or age.....im not so sure as to why it would spark like your saying, but yes, you should most definately look into finding a store that could work on it and find out what went wrong.
