What do I do with my tulip bulbs now that that all the petals have fallen off?

I was planning to plant them but due to the cold spell in S. Jersey I was unable to. They are still in the pot that I bought them in. Do I have to store them for the winter? Help!!!!

No, you do not have to store them. You can plant them now. The remaining green leaves will continue to provide nutrients to the bulb. You can let nature take it's course or if you are fastidious, you may cut away the foliage once it wilts and browns.
Reply:go ahead and plant them, when the green part wilts, cut them down to groun level and they will come back next year
Reply:Cut off the dead parts and replant the bulbs. They'll come back next year.
Reply:plant them in the ground ,clip bloom seed pods off
Reply:Recycle it by making a compost pit, it will lessen the pollution and will make a good fertilizer ^^,
