I have a 2002 GMC Somoma that has been dying in reverse. Only battery light remains on afterward any answers?

Only happens once in a while, in reverse. Have to keep pushing gas petal to keep in running.

when you first start you car let it sit for a little bit maybe 30 seconds and see if it still does it. i had this problem with my blazer and the mechanic couldn't find a problem said let it sit for a few seconds, and if i do that then it doesn't have a problem. so find a good song on the radio and then go. if it still happens then i would go to where you bought it if it was a dealer and ask.
Reply:Honestly, call the dealer you bought it from. Not only would they be able to fix your problem, but they would be able to tell you if it is a common one. Also, if you bought it recently used, they may have to pay for repairs.
