Where could I find inexpensive rose petals?

I just need the petals, not the plants, and I need a lot. When I lived in West Palm Beach, there were many places that sold roses for $1 each, but since moving to Texas I can't find anything like that. Any suggestions?

Where could I find inexpensive rose petals?
Two suggestions: at the cemetery after a funeral (they get useless and will be wasted) or in your neighbour's garden!
Reply:flower shop some times throw away scrap roses or filler ask them
Reply:go to the grocery store and check out what they have.. Or florists that have damaged stems may be willing to part with them for cheap.. Or if you need the look of petels buy fake roses... At our wholesale club BJ's you can get a doz. roses bouquet for about 10-12 bucks..
Reply:my suggestion is go to a local florist and look in their garbage or just ask them if they have any flowers that they are going to through out that they can give you for free or for cheep since you are doing them a favor ;)
Reply:Late at night or in the early morning hours before the sun comes up, dress in ninja gear and sneak stealthily into your neighbors yard to swipe their roses. You may need to scope out the place first to see if they have an automatic sprinkler timer. You don't want to get caught by the sprinklers.

Or, if you're not into sneaky ninja adventures, you could do what dorikaboom said and just ask your neighbors.
Reply:Your neighbors garden?

No, seriously. Have you thought about asking some of your neighbors if you can pick a few of their roses. If you get a few from enough houses it can save a lot of money.
Reply:Go to your local flower shop, ask them what you want, pick them up at the end off each day.

Flower shops need to clean the roses to be presentable for the arrangements, the pedals to them, are garbage. If they are willing to keep them for you, they'll give them away.
